About

I probably should use words such as “voracious” and “book-worm” to describe myself, b20524267_1575250439160714_2138250244_out I’d rather just tell you about my big dream. The smaller aspirations are inconsequential; the house by a lake, life full of puppies, winning the Nobel Prize for Literature. The bigger dream is to build a personal library, so big that I’d need ladders to reach the tops. My more prized first edition hardcovers would be locked safely behind crystal vaults and my friends would say things like “She’s such a talented cupcake maker and yet she’s locked herself up in her library again, I would too if I had one like hers though”.

This blog is at least a step in the right direction while perhaps also being a useful tool for those looking for their next read. Although in all honesty if you are anything like me; a bad review will most probably not deter you from reading a book that is easily accessible. However, a book review I believe brings readers closer together and is useful for a recommendation in a genre of your choice if you trust the reviewer’s taste and opinions.

If you are interested in my personal recommendations, be sure to look through the ‘Recommended Reading’ category.

Also, feel free to follow the blog or its FacebookΒ page for regular updates.

In case you want to get in touch with me privately, for matters ranging from a difference in opinion or if simply because you’re a dog person and want someone to talk to about how cute they look in baskets, my email address dbose101@gmail.com is at your disposal.

  1. What kind of books do you review? πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Disha,

I noticed on a Google Plus thread you have a book review blog. We have created a free service called Bookvetter which can help you as a reviewer of books. You are the scarce resource as there are far more books than there are reviewers. This makes your time and talent valuable, something to protect.

The first tool we have created with you in mind, is a review request submission form you can use to filter your review requests. The system compares the content of books to your reading interests and takes appropriate action. This includes automated emails and folders where you can keep your review requests organized. When you have a moment checkout the review request form and how the system works.

We also have Vetted books you can checkout and review. These are books which have survived peer review and are considered worth the time of a larger audience. The final feature we have to offer is currently under construction and will enable readers to find your review blog, based on the types of books you like to read and review. One of our goals is to bring readers to your site where they can interact with you, versus just reading your work on Amazon.

We are still a small community and building all the needed features, so feedback is always appreciated! If you have any additional questions please contact me. Best of luck with your reviews and building your audience.

    Kind Regards,

    Marc

  3. liked your blog–very impressed. are you familiar with bookcrossing.com? founds like you’d have the means to send one of your books out, especially if you are in an urban area. just a fun little thing.
